Terms of Service

Use Nook responsibly.

These terms apply when you download, install, purchase, or use Nook. Nook is a local-first macOS app for personal task management.

Using Nook

You may use Nook to create and manage your own tasks, lists, notes, folders, and local app data. You are responsible for how you use the app and for keeping your Mac and local files secure.

License

Nook may offer a free tier and a paid Pro license. A Pro license is for your own use and may be subject to activation limits shown at purchase. Do not share, resell, or abuse license keys.

Payments and Refunds

Payments may be processed by a third-party provider. Any refund, chargeback, or license issue may affect your Pro access. Purchase terms shown at checkout apply.

Local Data

Nook stores your task data locally on your Mac. You are responsible for your own backups. If you delete local app data, reset your Mac, or remove Nook's local storage, your task data may be lost.

No Warranty

Nook is provided as is. We aim to make it reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every workflow.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, NoStock Design is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost data, lost profits, or business interruption.

Changes

We may update these terms as Nook changes. If the changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to make them clear on the Nook website.
