App dates are based on published releases and shown in UTC. Website updates are listed separately from app versions.
Nook 1.2.4
- Nook on iPhone: Keep your lists, tasks, and notes with you. Plan your day with Today Scheduler, use Focus Mode, and choose your own skin.
- Sync: Keep your lists, tasks, and notes in sync between your computer and iPhone. Sign in with the same account and turn on Sync on each device.
Nook 1.2.3
- Fixed Today blocks disappearing after removing a task’s schedule or repeat rule.
- Fixed block heights changing when repeat was enabled.
- Improved task browsing when adding existing tasks to Today.
Windows app icon
- Embedded the Nook icon in the Windows executable used by Search, the Start menu, and shortcuts.
- Updated the Windows installer and ZIP. App features and the in-app What’s New overview are unchanged.
Nook 1.2.2
- Day starts at: changes now take effect in the next Today. The current day keeps its original review time, and tasks are preserved across earlier or later start times.
- Today blocks: added notes, repeat rules for tasks created directly in Today, and optional notifications before a block starts.
- Focus Mode: saved background sounds stay silent until you click Start focus.
- Quotes: added five Naval Ravikant quotes and moved author names outside the quotation marks.
- Updated both desktop downloads. The in-app What’s New overview is unchanged.
Windows installation names
- The default installation folder, app, executable, and shortcuts are now named Nook.
- Existing data and app features are preserved.
Nook 1.2.1 for Windows
- Published the Windows x64 installer. Click Download from a Windows computer to get it directly.
- The existing app features and What’s New copy are unchanged.
How to Use & Release Notes
- Added a How to Use page with instructions for tasks, lists, Today, schedules, Focus Mode, background sounds, search, and settings.
- Added seven example screenshots with a click-to-enlarge viewer.
- Rewrote guide headings and descriptions in plain language.
- Added dated release notes. The header now includes How to Use followed by Release Notes. Philosophy opens the top of the homepage.
- Download buttons now get the matching macOS or Windows installer directly. Removed the separate download page.
- Simplified Download buttons by removing the platform descriptions beneath them.
- Updated platform and local-storage descriptions throughout the website.
Nook 1.2.1
- Today Scheduler: previous block titles appear as suggestions while you type.
- Color palettes: expanded Surprise Me to 24 presets, including Moebius, Bookstore, Camping, and Potion.
- Focus Mode: saved background sounds and volume levels resume when you return. If playback was switched off, it stays off.
- Window opening: fixed issues that could sometimes prevent Nook from opening.
- What’s New: closing or hiding the window no longer marks the update notes as read. They remain unread until you click Continue to Nook.
Nook 1.2.0
- Today Scheduler: added a daily timeline for new and existing tasks, with adjustable times, colors, and day-start settings.
- Daily review: review completed and unfinished tasks, then choose which unfinished tasks to carry forward.
- Appearance: added 20 color presets and direct HEX editing for foreground, background, and accent colors.
- Background sound: saved the selected sounds and individual volume levels between Focus sessions.
- Task completion: adding an unfinished subtask reopens a parent that was automatically completed.
- Updated list, date, and time menus to follow the selected theme, and improved recurring schedules and Today history across day boundaries.
Nook 1.1.8
- Fixed Focus Mode staying open when clicking outside Nook. The timer and background sounds continue while the window is hidden.

Nook 1.1.7
- Fixed an intermittent macOS Spaces issue where hovering the edge could stop opening Nook, or open it on a different desktop.
- Added recorded Focus time to completed tasks.
- Updated the feature overview to cover Focus Mode, Search, and Schedule.
